Last night Bruce Dart was presented with the Volunteer of the Year Award at the regular Tuesday night goalie clinic. Should probably read Volunteer of Years since he has been running the goalie clinic with his daughter Amanda for many years, as well as being a past member of the executive and a member of the association for over 20 years.

About 13 goalies were on the ice last night to thank him, as well as 2 others who stopped by before heading off to practice. Bruce Carmichael & Frank Albert, Presidents; Shannon Kay, Coaching Coordinator; and Chris Nielsen, Chair of Central Region were on hand to present his award. See link below

He never asks for anything in return, it is always about the kids and it doesn't matter the age whether they are 5 years old or playing Open or the Women's league. His commitment does not stop at the clinics. He has been seen at local tournaments, watching several games in a day, cheering on his ‘kids’ from house league games to provincial.

Anyone that knows Bruce knows that he was very embarrassed about the whole thing last night. Congratulations Bruce !!
